In der Konzeptualisierung werden die Ergebnisse der Wissensakquise aufbereitet und strukturiert. Das Ziel der Konzeptualisierung ist, die Definition aller relevanten Begriffe der in der Ontologie abgebildeten Wissensdomänen und deren Beziehungen zueinander eindeutig abzubilden. Das Ergebnis ist eine Netzstruktur der relevanten Begriffe der Wissensdomäne, verknüpft über deren Beziehungen untereinander.

In conceptualization, the results of knowledge acquisition are prepared and structured. The goal of conceptualization is to distinctly represent the definitions of all relevant terms of the knowledge domains represented in the ontology and their relationships to each other. The result is a network structure of all relevant terms of the knowledge domain, connected among themselves by their relationships.
