IPEK-Definition (dt.)
Die Projektierung ist eine Makroaktivität der Produktentstehung im iPeM. Sie umfasst alle Tätigkeiten, die das Management für Organisation und Controlling eines Produktentstehungsprojekts benötigt. Sie dient der Planung von Prozessen und initiiert Änderungen innerhalb von Prozessen. Die Projektierung beinhaltet die Definition eines initialen Zielsystems, sowie Definition, Überwachung und Anpassung des Handlungssystems inklusive der Planung logischer und zeitlicher Abfolgen der Aktivitäten im Phasenmodell.

Project planning is a macro-activity of product formation in iPeM. It comprises all activities that are required by the management for the organisation and control of a product formation project. It serves the planning of processes and initializes changes within processes. Project planning includes the definition of an initial target system as well as the definition, monitoring and adjustment of the conduct system including the planning of logical and chronological sequences of the activities in the phase model.
