IP - Integrated Product Development

IP- Integrated Product Development is an innovation project that has been carried out for 25 years with changing corporate partners and takes place in the winter semester between October and February with a company.

Up to 42 prospective engineers in 7 development teams work closely with the partner company and the IPEK to develop innovative solutions to a problem specified by the partner company. In four months, seven products with high innovation potential and associated functional prototypes are created, which include a concrete practical relevance, customer and user benefits as well as market access concepts.

Your added value

  • Up to 42 students (7 teams of 6 hand-picked students) work methodically coached by IPEK supervisors on your task. This gives you access to a large pool of potential newcomers ("trainee program light").

  • Numerous new product profiles (potentials), product concepts and prototypes with high innovation potential (3-7 patent applications per project) - the exploitation rights are held by the cooperation partner.
